This is the application of a chemical product to the facial skin for the treatment of ageing.
Whilst deeply stimulating the elastin and collagen fibres, peelings can eliminate the wrinkles and blemishes, reduce the depth of the wrinkles and erase spots.
They act on the quality of the skin and its firmness.
They homogenise the surface and colour and generate the appearance of healthy skin.
They are effective treatments provided that right choice of peeling is made:
- Superficial with glycolic acid
- Medium with trichltororacetic acid
The practitioner will offer you a programme that is suited to your skin phototype. The protocols of the peeling sessions conducted in the practice and for home care will be adapted according to the abnormality and the desired result.
Ageing of the skin:
The first signs of ageing, which vary from one individual to another, appear at around the age of thirty and manifest themselves in the form of refinement of the dermis and epidermis and the loss of water and elastic fibres.
Several factors can cause ageing of the skin: exposure to the sun, hormonal ageing and environmental factors such as pollution, tobacco, alcohol, stress, etc.
Different techniques enable the visible signs of ageing to be alleviated and slowed: injection of hyaluronic acid or botulinum toxin, peeling and multiple lasers. Some of these techniques can be combined to achieve the ideal result.
The essential action du peeling is to stimulate the production of elastin and collagen by means of various compounds adapted to each type of peeling.
The various changes in pigment impede uniformity, brightness and luminosity of colour.
The agent responsible for these changes is melanin, a pigment that is genetically present in the skin.
The sun, as well as artificial UV rains or the hormonal system, may give rise to deposits of melanic pigment that are capable of altering certain areas of the epidermis.
Peeling is an effective solution for restoring brightness and uniformity to your skin. It enables the surface layer of the epidermis to be eliminated by reinforcing the pigments responsible for spots in order to regain regular pigmentation.
