After making a 5 to 7-centimeter incision in the gluteal fold, the surgeon places the implant in a cavity created in the gluteus maximus muscle by detachment. This position in the middle of the muscle makes the prosthesis completely invisible. The procedure takes around 2 hours. For 1 to 2 months, no pressure should be applied to the buttocks.
